The forward has been in fine form for Tottenham since joining from Bayer Leverkusen in 2015

South Korean international superstar Heung-Min Son has endeared himself to the Spurs faithful with some fantastic displays since joining the club in 2015. Although Son has fallen short of his own high standards in the current campaign so far, he’ll be keen to rediscover his goalscoring touch when the new season gets underway.

The 30-year-old has signed a new four-year contract keeping him at the club until 2027. Son has scored 136 goals in 343 appearances for Tottenham, and has become a key player for both club and country.

Son said: “It was easy to decide. I’m so happy to be here and I’m so glad to sign a new contract. I have a lot of good memories here and I want to have more. I want to achieve big things with the club.”

Tottenham manager Antonio Conte said: “Heung-Min is a fantastic player and I’m delighted that he has committed his future to Tottenham. He’s a key player for us and I’m looking forward to working with him for many more years to come.”

Son’s new contract is a sign of the club’s ambition and their desire to keep their best players. The South Korean is one of the most popular players in the Premier League and his new deal will be welcomed by fans of the club.

Son has been in fine form for Tottenham since joining from Bayer Leverkusen in 2015. He has scored 23 goals in all competitions this season and has helped Tottenham reach the Champions League semi-finals. Son is a key player for Tottenham and his new contract is a sign of the club’s commitment to him.
