Tottenham 2-1 Liverpool: Salah brace earns Reds victory in London thriller
Liverpool came from behind to beat Tottenham 2-1 in a thrilling Premier League match at Anfield on Sunday, with Mohamed Salah scoring twice to earn the Reds all three points.
Tottenham took the lead in the 13th minute through Son Heung-min, but Salah levelled for Liverpool just seven minutes later. The Egyptian then put the Reds ahead for good in the 47th minute, and despite Tottenham's best efforts, they were unable to find an equaliser.
The win moves Liverpool up to second in the Premier League table, two points behind leaders Arsenal, while Tottenham remain in fifth.
Salah's goals were his 17th and 18th of the season, and he is now the Premier League's top scorer. The Egyptian has been in excellent form for Liverpool this season, and he will be hoping to continue his goalscoring streak when the Reds host Fulham in their next match.
Tottenham will be disappointed to have lost at home, but they can take some solace from the fact that they played well for large periods of the match. The Lilywhites will be looking to bounce back when they travel to Brentford in their next match.
