The Vols won 6-5 over Texas A&M in Game 3 of the College World Series finals on Monday in Omaha, Nebraska. It is Tennessee's first national championship in baseball and the first for any Tennessee team in any sport since the Lady Vols basketball team won the NCAA title in 2008.
