A Taste Of Brazil In Northeast Wisconsin Ahead Of Fridays Game

A taste of Brazil in Northeast Wisconsin ahead of Friday's game

Authentic Brazilian cuisine comes to Green Bay

Northeast Wisconsin is getting a taste of Brazil ahead of Friday's soccer match between the United States and Brazil at Lambeau Field.

Several local restaurants are offering Brazilian dishes on their menus, and a pop-up Brazilian food stand will be set up outside the stadium on game day.

A taste of home

For many Brazilian Americans in Northeast Wisconsin, the food is a taste of home.

That's one of the reasons why Brazilian native Renata Garcia decided to open her own Brazilian restaurant in Green Bay.

"I wanted to bring a little bit of Brazil here to Green Bay," she said.

Authentic Brazilian flavors

Garcia's restaurant, Sabor a Brasil, serves up authentic Brazilian dishes made with fresh ingredients.

The menu features a variety of traditional Brazilian dishes, including feijoada, a black bean stew with pork and beef; moqueca, a seafood stew; and churrasco, grilled meat.

Garcia said she uses traditional Brazilian recipes and ingredients to create her dishes.

"I want people to experience the real taste of Brazil," she said.

A taste of Brazil at Lambeau Field

On Friday, Garcia will be bringing her Brazilian flavors to Lambeau Field.

She will be operating a pop-up Brazilian food stand outside the stadium, serving up traditional Brazilian dishes to fans.

Garcia said she is excited to share her culture and cuisine with soccer fans from around the world.

"I hope people will come out and try some of the delicious food that Brazil has to offer," she said.
